Dr. Elizabeth Jasmine is a Professor of Psychology & Founder-Principal of the Indian Institute of Psychology & Research (IIPR), Bangalore.

IIPR is an exclusive college for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD studies in Psychology and Social Sciences affiliated to Bangalore City University (BCU). The college is managed by the Order of Friars Minor (OFM) and is located within the St. Anthony’s Friary on the Hosur Main Road, Bangalore. She has close to three decades of experience in Teaching, Research, Training and Counseling services from premier academic institutions and demonstrated outstanding performance at various administrative positions.

She was a member of the Syndicate of Bangalore City University(BCU) which is the highest decision making body of a state public university after serving a two year tenure as the academic council member of the same university. She is a university nominee and management nominee to the academic council and governing councils of various colleges in Bangalore namely Mount Carmel College, Jyothi Nivas college, MLA college, Presidency college, BMS college, Mangalore university, St Philomena’s college Mysores and St Agnes college Mangalore etc.

She was selected to be part of the 10 member Indian Delegation and has visited the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom (UK) from Karnataka state to study best practices and to sign academic and research MOUs representing the affiliated colleges of Bangalore.
She is a proficient academician who has been involved in curriculum design and revision for various Post Graduate, Undergraduate and certificate courses in Psychology and Social Sciences. She is a member of the Board of studies of various colleges and universities including Bangalore City University.
In the area of research, she has a dozen publications in national and international journals; she was the principal investigator for a research project for the 9 Para, Special task force (STF) of the Indian Army; she is a member of the Research advisory committees(RAC) and PhD examination panels of various universities in India for the PhD programmes. She has guided more than 200 students for dissertations at masters level, and around 3-4 MPhil and PhD candidates.

She has organized various conferences, seminars and workshops and she has been the keynote speaker in various national and international conferences. She is an invited speaker at various workshops, training sessions, television channels for discussions, FM radio-channels, Chief guest for various academic and non academic programmes in and around Karnataka.

About her Academic Background- she has a Doctoral degree in psychology from the University of Mysore; Postgraduate degree and undergraduate degree in Psychology from Mangalore University. She has qualified the UGC NET and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management as well.

She is a Gold medalist in Psychology from Mangalore University and course topper through her school and college years. She is a recipient of various merit awards and scholarships. Her consistent meritorious academic track record throughout the course of her studies speaks volumes of her dedication, commitment and hard work to the task at hand.
