International Women’s Day and Language Day cum Ethnic Day Celebration


Date: 8th of March 2018

On the 8th of March, 2018, International Women’s Day celebration along with Ethnic Day and Language Day celebration were held at the college. The undergraduate students present short films they had created on the problems faced by women in the country, followed by paper presentations on the same area. Ms. Dona Fernandes, founder member of Vimochana was invited to be the Chief Guest for the event. Her words not only enlightened the students but also encouraged them to think about changing the negative perspectives that society has towards women. The programme was followed by the Language Day and Ethnic Day. Students dressed in their vibrant cultural or ethnic attire presented a cultural program. Lively dance performances in songs of different languages were presented by the undergraduate students. The postgraduate students showcased the diversity of cultures with a fashion show.
