Inaugural Ceremony of IIPR and Commencement of PG Courses

The Indian Institute of Psychology and Research (IIPR) held its inauguration program for
the postgraduate program on the 18th
institution. The post graduate students with their parents and family members, along with the
BA students, staff and management of IIPR were part of this ceremony.
We began the ceremony on an auspicious and positive note with the invocation, the
lighting of the lamp, and reading from the scriptures by students, staff, and management of
IIPR. This was followed by a prayer and blessing for the new academic year.
Soon after the prayer session, Fr. Saji P. Mathew, Chairman, Governing Council of
IIPR gave the welcome address. This was followed by the address by the chief guest of the
program Shri Manjunath, member of BBMP. An inspirational message to the gathering was
given by Minister Provincial, Rev. Fr. Babu Jose.P Ofm followed by the address by the
college administrator Br. Tommy Thekkel Ofm on what could be expected by the students in
the year to come from IIPR. Our guest of honor, Dr. Sudha Bhogle delivered a motivational
address especially targeting the students, parents and academic fraternity. Her address
focused around how to make the best in one's life situation
This was followed by address from the college principal Dr. Elizabeth Jasmine. Apart
from extending the warm welcome students to the IIPR family; she reassured the audience of
the commitment the team IIPR has to the molding of the student's life in addition to meeting
the requirement of the curriculum. Thereafter, she gave an informative address clarifying any
apprehensions or concerns the audience may have and concluded her talk with the round of
introduction of entire staff at IIPR.
The program ended with an energetic and spirited cultural program. A variety of
performances were put up, like an enthralling musical performance by the BA students of
IIPR, an insightful mime by brothers of the St. Anthony's Friary College, and a wonderful
dance performance by a group known as Lasya.
August, 2014. It was a solemn moment of pride for the
Mrs. Swarnalatha Iyer, Proffessor of Psychology, IIPR proposed the vote of thanks. The
auspicious and solemn inauguration program ended with the National Anthem.
